Shasta County is proud to recognize Anna Rodriguez, Supervising Staff Services Analyst in the County Clerk and Registrar of Voters Office, as the Employee of the Month for April 2025.
Anna began her career with the County in 2007 as an Election Specialist I and has steadily advanced into her current leadership role. Over the years, she has become a pillar of reliability, professionalism, and positivity in the Elections Office.
Anna is widely respected for her ability to lead by example. She communicates clearly, offers sound guidance, and celebrates the accomplishments of others—making her a supervisor that team members genuinely enjoy working with. Whether she’s managing high-level operations or jumping in to assist with hands-on tasks, Anna brings a collaborative spirit to everything she does. Her leadership is so impactful that many extra-help staff members return year after year just to work under her direction.
One of Anna’s many strengths is her dedication to public understanding. She goes out of her way to explain complex election processes in ways that are accessible and informative. She frequently engages with election observers, even amid high-pressure situations, and always handles questions and concerns with professionalism and grace.
During the 2024 Presidential Election, Anna’s commitment was especially evident. When her team faced a critical tabulation issue, Anna sprang into action—training additional support staff from across County departments and adjusting workflows to meet the challenge. One of those staff members remarked, “She worked twelve-to-fourteen-hour days with us for a month. She has an incredible work ethic and the highest levels of integrity I’ve seen.”
Anna’s leadership is guided by a deep commitment to fairness, transparency, and adherence to the law. She is not afraid to take responsibility, make corrections when necessary, and lead with integrity. Her energy, humor, and unwavering professionalism have earned her admiration from both colleagues and the public.
Anna’s positivity uplifts those around her, especially in difficult times. She is empathetic, respectful, and genuinely invested in the success of her team. Her attention to detail and willingness to continually learn and improve processes make her an invaluable member of the Clerk/Elections Office.
