Shasta County is proud to recognize Patricia “Patti” Divine, Senior Social Worker with the Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA), as the May 2025 Employee of the Month.
Patti began her service with Shasta County in May 2022 as an Eligibility Worker I. In just three years, she has risen to the role of Senior Social Worker within the Adult Protective Services (APS) Unit, where her dedication, compassion, and leadership have set her apart.
In her role, Patti manages a full caseload while also training new team members and supporting her colleagues through complex cases. She’s earned a reputation as someone who’s always willing to help—whether that’s stepping in when supervisors are unavailable or offering insight during challenging client interactions.
Patti was instrumental in handling one of the longest-running APS cases the department has seen. She remained patient, clear-headed, and kind through every step, ensuring the client’s needs were met despite numerous obstacles. Her ability to remain calm and empathetic, while also setting professional boundaries, speaks to her skill and character.
Community partners describe Patti as easy to work with, deeply knowledgeable, and passionate about her work. She exemplifies HHSA’s core values—collaboration, adaptability, respect, and excellence—not only in her work with clients, but also in her daily interactions with peers and partners.
Each day, Patti brings a positive attitude to the workplace, brightening the environment and lifting up those around her. Her impact extends beyond her job description, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those she serves.
