Tribal Health Village

Today, the Redding Rancheria marked a major milestone with the groundbreaking of its $230 million Tribal Health Village, a visionary healthcare facility designed to serve both Native American and non-Native patients in Shasta County. The event drew hundreds of attendees, including tribal members, local officials, community leaders, health professionals, and members of the public, all eager to witness the beginning of this groundbreaking endeavor.

Spanning 185,000 square feet, the Tribal Health Village will provide comprehensive, culturally centered healthcare with a focus on holistic wellness. The facility will include primary and specialty medical care, acupuncture, a full-service spa, fitness facilities with pools and an elevated indoor track, and even cooking classes to promote healthy living.

“This is about meeting the healthcare needs of the next 60 years for our tribe and the broader community,” said Glen Hayward, Executive Director of Redding Rancheria Tribal Health Systems. The center will launch with 11 primary care providers and 7 medical specialists, with plans to expand its team as services grow.

The Tribal Health Village will be located near the Win-River Resort & Casino, with construction expected to take about two years. Once completed, the facility will serve over 22,000 patients, including those covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and the Partnership HealthPlan of California.

Shasta County is proud to support this visionary project, which will enhance healthcare access and wellness opportunities for residents across the region.
