The Shasta County Board of Supervisors has adopted a proclamation designating the week of April 27 through May 3, 2025, as Employee Appreciation Week, and Saturday, May 3, 2025, as Employee Appreciation Day. The proclamation honors the dedication, professionalism, and hard work of County staff across all departments.
Shasta County employees are the backbone of public service—working tirelessly to serve the community with integrity, courtesy, and a commitment to excellence. This proclamation underscores the Board’s recognition that County employees are the organization’s most valuable resource.
To celebrate, all County employees are invited to a special Employee Appreciation Day picnic on Saturday, May 3, at Anderson River Park. The event will include:
-
Family-friendly games and activities
-
Informational booths hosted by local vendors and benefit providers
-
A variety of food trucks
-
A $25 meal voucher for each attending County employee, redeemable at participating food trucks
The Board encourages all County employees to participate in this week of appreciation and join in the festivities on May 3. More details about the event will be shared by departmental coordinators as the date approaches.
