In a 3-2 vote The Board of Supervisors decided to move forward with exploring viable options for hand counting ballots in collaboration with the Secretary of State. This to make sure the County is abiding by all state laws, federal laws, and meeting all disability requirements in any new voting system.
The Board also voted to take no action in choosing a replacement voting machine to Dominion at this time. The Dominion machines will be used in the Shasta Lake special election on March 7th, with the contract planned to be canceled following the election.
