Housing Choice Voucher Referral Programs

All programs listed have the same income limits and other eligibility requirements as the Housing Choice Voucher Program. Additional requirements for the referral programs are listed below.

Family Unification Program

Additional eligibility for this program includes:

    - An open case with Children and Family Services (CFS)

    - Housing is the final barrier for child(ren) to remain in the home or be returned.

    - Referral must come from CFS worker

Foster Youth Initiative

Additional eligibility for this program includes:

     - Must be at least 18 but not over the age of 24

     - Has left foster care OR will leave foster care within 90 days in accordance with a transition plan described in section 475(5)(H) of the Social Security Act.

     - Be homeless or at risk of becoming homeless

     - Referral must come from Public Child Welfare Agency or be certified by them if coming from a private foster agency.

Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH)

Additional eligibility for this program includes:

     - Must be a veteran

     - Be currently homeless

     - Be eligible for VA medical care

     - Have an identified clinical need for case management

     - Veterans in transitional housing or residential treatment programs may also be considered for admission
