Code Enforcement is a Program within the Building Division of the Department of Resource Management that responds to code violation complaints and ensures compliance with codes and ordinances in the unincorporated area of Shasta County.
Purposes:
Safeguard the health, safety, and quality of life of the residents of Shasta County.
Address complaints and identify violations—ranging from unpermitted construction and unsafe or substandard housing to grading, junk and debris accumulation, and zoning/land use violations.
Establish permit requirements and a timeline for gaining compliance.
