Credit/Debit cards: accepted online; by telephone; and at the Tax Collector counter
IMPORTANT: Confirmation Number (receipt) is conditional until funds are confirmed and payment is processed. May take five (5) days for payments to post. Customers will be notified by the Tax Collector office if payment failed.
Convenience Fee: Shasta County property taxes may be paid with any of the above listed credit cards or by E-Check. The company we use to process electronic payments will add a convenience fee to your bill. See fees below:
- Credit: 2.25% (of the bill with a minimum fee of $2.50) - Point & Pay
- Credit: Monthly Installments 1.99% NEW - Easy Smart Pay
- Debit: $3.95 (flat fee) - Point & Pay
- E-Check: $0.50 (flat fee) for less than or equal to $100,000. You may pay up to 10 assessments per E-Check. - Point & Pay
Prior to completing the transaction, all fees will be clearly reported and you will have the option to cancel the transaction.

It is still the taxpayer's responsibility to pay by the due date.
Do the following if website and 844 # is down by 5:00 p.m. on delinquent date:
- Drop check or money order in the drop box located at: 1450 Court Street Suite 227, Redding CA, 2nd floor main lobby, near Tax Collector door; or
- Bring cash, check, money order, or credit/debit card to the Tax Collector counter; or
- Mail your check or money order to: PO Box 991830, Redding CA 96099-1830
Postmarks accepted EXCEPT for 5-year default and auction deadlines. Pay early to avoid penalties.

Payments by mail must be postmarked on or before the due date listed on the stub. Please make checks payable to Lori J. Scott or Shasta County Tax Collector. Write your assessment number on your check and include your tax bill payment stub, if available. Do not send cash.

Our office is located on the second floor of the Shasta County Administration Center in Redding. We accept cash, checks, money orders, and credit/debit cards at the counter. Credit/Debit Cards and E-Checks may be used online or by telephone at 844-784-9715.
