With 25 years of law enforcement experience, including two decades with the Redding Police Department, Allen Long brings a deep understanding of public safety to his role as Supervisor. As a homicide detective, sergeant, and later as a Lieutenant overseeing budgets, staffing, and policies, Allen developed skills essential for effective governance. His financial expertise, gained through his early career as a commercial loan analyst, further enhances his ability to advocate for sound fiscal management in County operations.

Allen’s goals as Supervisor include bolstering Sheriff patrols, building a modern jail facility, increasing wildfire prevention resources, and improving mental health services. He is also committed to strengthening Shasta County’s economy, ensuring affordable insurance for residents, and fostering respectful governance on the Board of Supervisors.
