Matt Plummer brings a wealth of leadership experience as a nonprofit consultant, organizational trainer, and business executive. As the Founder and CEO of a Redding-based consulting firm, he has helped companies, nonprofits, and government agencies enhance productivity, critical thinking, and employee retention. His expertise includes serving as interim COO for construction and manufacturing firms, where he developed systems to drive growth and efficiency.
As Supervisor, Matt aims to reduce homelessness, improve public safety, and enhance infrastructure, leveraging his strategic planning background to establish measurable goals and ensure County initiatives deliver maximum benefit to residents. He also prioritizes working to make Shasta County one of the healthiest and happiest places in California.
A proud Shasta County resident for over eight years, Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Psychology from Yale University. He is a Leadership Redding alumnus and actively serves on boards that support youth development and mental health initiatives. A devoted husband and father of three, Matt is also an avid outdoorsman who has summited Mt. Shasta twice. Passionate about strengthening families as the foundation of a thriving community, he looks forward to making a positive impact while serving the people of Shasta County.
