It is the property owner's responsibility to obtain and pay their tax bill. Every effort is made to obtain proper mailing addresses; however, due to the increasingly large number of property transfers, it is possible that a new owner may not receive their statement if the property is acquired after July 1st. Nonreceipt of a tax statement does not relieve the imposition of penalties after the delinquent date.
The annual property tax statement is mailed by the Tax Collector on November 1st.
If you have not received this statement by November 15, contact the Tax Collector by calling: (530) 225-5511. Advise their office of the parcel number of the property from your deed or escrow papers, and a tax bill will be sent to you.
