The Child Support Department Ombudsperson works with customers to resolve issues with child support cases, explain rights and responsibilities, and resolve customer inquiries or disputes.
The Ombudsperson can assist with:
- Customer service
- Timeliness of service
- Payment and billing problems
- Decisions to close a child support case
The Obudsperson cannot assist with:
- The amount of a child support order
- Custody
- Visitation
- Divorce or spousal support orders
- Matters that are not child support related
- Actions taken or orders made by the court
