Fire Stations & Battalions

Battalion 1

Battalion 1 is under the direct supervision of Battalion Chief Dusty Gyves, which consists of five Shasta County
Volunteer Fire Companies, CAL FIRE Burney Station 14, and CAL FIRE Big Bend Station 19.

Battalion 2

The Battalion is under the direct supervision of Battalion Chief Tim Whitehurst. Battalion 2 includes two Shasta
County Fire Department volunteer fire companies located in the communities of Montgomery Creek and Oak
Run, as well as CAL FIRE Buckhorn Station 34, CAL FIRE Diddy Wells Station 74, and CAL FIRE Hillcrest Station 75.

Battalion 3

The Battalion is under the direct supervision of Battalion Chief Brian Noel. Battalion 3 consists of two
volunteer fire companies, CAL FIRE Shingletown Station 22, and CAL FIRE Whitmore Station 35

Battalion 4

Battalion 4 is under the direct supervision of Battalion Chief Merrick Fields. Battalion 4 consists of two
volunteer Fire Companies, one Shasta County Fire Department (SCFD) station, and CAL FIRE Station 43/ SCFD Engine 47 – Redding.

Battalion 5

The Battalion is under the direct supervision of Battalion Chief Troy Velin. Battalion 5 consists of three
volunteer fire companies, CAL FIRE Ono Station 57, and CAL FIRE Shasta Station 58.

Battalion 6

Battalion 6 is under the direct supervision of Battalion Chief Nick Ciapponi, and consists of three CAL FIRE Stations:
CAL FIRE Weaverville Station 60, CAL FIRE Fawn Lodge Station 61, and CAL FIRE Hayfork Station 62.

Battalion 7

Battalion 7 is under the direct supervision of Battalion Chief Brian Giblisco, and consists of three SCFD
Volunteer fire companies and CAL FIRE Shasta College Station 73.
