Shasta County Pre-Approved ADU Plans

The Department of Resource Management is pleased to offer, free of charge, to property owners and contractors building in the unincorporated areas of the County, seven unique Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) designs. Each design has been approved for construction in the County for up to 50lb and 70lb snow load zones and include a variety of amenities and options to choose from. Shasta County standard ADU plan types are arranged below alphabetically by name. Please download and review all associated documents with each plan set, and use the included checklist to ensure all steps are completed prior to starting the building permit application process.
