Auditor-Controller Continues Financial Excellence Streak 

Shasta County is thrilled to announce that, for the 9th consecutive year, our Auditor-Controller's Office has been honored with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). This prestigious award, recognizes the County's commitment to transparent financial reporting.

Our annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022, has been carefully judged, meeting the high standards of the program. This includes demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate our financial story, motivating potential users to delve into the report.

This recognition is a testament to the department's dedication to fiscal responsibility and adherence to the highest standards in governmental accounting and financial reporting.

Furthermore, for an impressive 24th consecutive year, Shasta County has received the Award for County Financial Transactions Reporting from the California State Controller's Office, reinforcing our commitment to excellence.
