How do you access healthcare if you have no access to transportation? What if you are hesitant to seek treatment at a traditional clinic?
The Public Health Branch’s CommUNITY Care Mobile Clinic (CCMC) aims to provide free STI testing and treatment to populations with limited or no access to medical services in remote areas of Shasta County, including parks and homeless camps.
Once the CCMC establishes a strong presence in Redding, Anderson, Shasta Lake and Burney, the plan is to head out toward the County’s more rural areas.
Community members can visit the CCMC at the HHSA Anderson Office (2889 E. Center St.) on Wednesdays from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. More locations, hours and days are coming soon.
Services include:
HIV/Hep C rapid testing
Syphilis rapid testing
Gonorrhea and chlamydia testing
Treatment for syphilis, gonorrhea and chlamydia
