Employee of the Month - May '23

Deanna Beck, Peer Support Specialist in the Health and Human Services Agency, has been named Employee of the Month for May 2023!

Ms. Beck provides invaluable support to parents who are reunifying with their children after they have been removed by Dependency Court. She attends court proceedings, helps clients feel supported during meetings, and provides emotional and positive support in their homes and communities. Ms. Beck has played a crucial role in helping a mom during the reunification process, connecting her with the recovery community and contributing to her sobriety and positive behavior changes.

Ms. Beck has also helped develop the Peer Support program in the Behavioral Health and Social Services Branch, providing unique support and service to Child Welfare clients. She has presented at meetings to spread awareness and education about the positive impacts of the peer support program.

Ms. Beck's hard work and dedication to her clients make her an outstanding employee and deserving of recognition as Employee of the Month.
