Monica Fugitt Appointed Director of Support Services

Shasta County is pleased to announce the appointment of Monica Fugitt as the new Director of Support Services. With over 12 years of dedicated service to Shasta County, Monica brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in personnel, purchasing, and risk management to her new role.

Monica has served as the Assistant Director of Support Services for the past three years, where she has played a crucial role in various aspects of county operations. Additionally, her previous role as Chief Fiscal Officer equipped her with a strong fiscal background, enabling her to effectively manage budgets, risk management transactions, and reports.

Having cultivated strong relationships with other department heads, Monica is aware of needs and concerns in relation to personnel, purchasing, and risk management. She is known for her creative and collaborative approach.

Monica's educational background further strengthens her qualifications for this position. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an option in Accounting, from CSU Chico. Additionally, she obtained a Governmental Accounting Certificate from the University of Georgia, showcasing her commitment to professional development.
