ADU Grant Program

The California Housing Finance Agency has announced grants for qualifying homeowners of up to $40,000 to reimburse pre-development and non-reoccurring closing costs associated with construction of accessory dwelling units throughout the State. Pre-development costs include site prep, architectural designs, permits, soil tests, impact fees, property surveys, and energy reports. In Shasta County, households with making less than 80% of the Annual Median Income are eligible for this program.
