Shasta County is proud to announce the official appointment of Troy Bartolomei as the Public Works Director. Troy, who has been serving as Interim Public Works Director since July 15, 2023, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his new role.
A seasoned professional, Troy graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and has been a registered Civil Engineer since 1995. His journey with Shasta County began in 1991 as a Junior Engineer, marking the commencement of a remarkable 33-year career with the County. Throughout the years, Troy's commitment and expertise propelled him through various roles within the Public Works Department.
Having held positions such as Deputy Director of Public Works - Engineering, and later being promoted to Assistant Public Works Director in December 2022, Troy's ascent within the organization reflects his outstanding contributions. His tenure as Interim Public Works Director since July 2023 further solidifies his leadership and capability in steering crucial initiatives for the County.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Troy is deeply involved in the community, showcasing his commitment to Shasta County beyond the workplace. Notably, he serves as the coach for the Shasta High School freshman football team.
