Those who are evacuated due to wildfires are urged by the California State Insurance Commissioner to contact their insurance provider. Evacuees may have homeowner or renter insurance to help with evacuation and relocation costs under Additional Living Expenses coverage, known as ALE. Smoke and Air Quality

Wildfire smoke is a mix of gases and fine particles from burning vegetation, buildings, and other materials. Even someone who is healthy can get sick if there is enough smoke in the air.

Zogg Fire Cleanup

Resource Management has information regarding Zogg Fire State Debris Removal Program and current health and safety concerns.

Removing fire debris or disturbing the ash footprint may cause you to be ineligible for state/federal debris removal assistance. More information

Disaster Assistance

Shasta County was added to the Presidential Major Disaster Declaration.

Zogg Fire victims may apply for federal assistance from FEMA to help pay for needs such as rent, home repair and replacement, medical costs, and other disaster-related expenses.
