Assembly Bill (AB) 341 and AB 1826 require businesses and multifamily complexes (5 units or more) that generate a specified amount of solid waste per week to arrange for organic recycling and recycling services, respectively. However, the law allows for case-by-case exemptions if businesses and multifamily complexes meet specific exemption criteria.
