Occupancy Rules

  1. Renters must vacate the building by 12:00 midnight on the final day of occupancy unless other arrangements have been made.
  2. Renters may decorate the Hall before the event on their scheduled event date with the prior approval of Facilities Management. The Hall may be decorated with certain exceptions: No staples or cellophane tape shall be used on floors, walls, or ceilings. Thumbtacks are approved for use on bulletin boards only. No attachment to woodwork or doors is allowed. Tables must be covered to prevent scratching.
  3. The key to the Hall may be picked up on the day of use or a prior day by appointment only by contacting the Shasta County Department of Public Works, Facilities Management Division at (530) 225-5659 or at 1958 Placer St., Redding, CA 96001. The key shall be placed in the Veterans’ Hall foyer lock box or returned the next business day following the event to Facilities Management. Duplication of keys is prohibited.
  4. A security and cleaning deposit will be required. The Hall shall be cleaned so that it is left in the same condition as it was before the event. Care will be taken to prevent scratching of tables or floors during use and placement. A walk-through will be conducted before the scheduled event and after the event to ensure that the Hall is adequately cleaned. Any costs incurred by the County to clean the Hall will be deducted from the security and cleaning deposit. The balance will be refunded in 2-3 weeks and sent to the renter’s mailing address.
  5. No birdseed, confetti, popcorn, rice, nor similar products may be thrown in or on said property.
  6. No candles or other open flame devices will be allowed.
