Brave Faces Talk - Crystal Hurlbert
4 p.m. - Crystal is a student, volunteer and daughter. She once lived on the streets and struggled with addiction. Since then, she has become a strong advocate for recovery. Crystal also talks about the realities of overcoming homelessness and living with schizophrenia.
“I have overcome homelessness and now live in my first apartment. I have conquered drug addiction, and I am taking care of my mental health. Having support through these past years has shown me that other people really do care about me, and I let them know the real me. For the first time in my adult life, I feel free.”

Brave Faces Talk and Joy in Motion Flag Workshop – Angel Inokon
5:30 p.m. - A graduate of Harvard and Stanford, Angel built a high-achieving career in tech and education, all while quietly carrying the weight of trauma, depression and chronic illness. After being diagnosed with Hidradenitis Suppurativa, a painful and often misunderstood skin disease, she began to speak out about what it means to look fine on the outside while fighting for your life on the inside.
After sharing her story, Angel will introduce one of her wellness tools – flag dancing. Learn to use simple weighted flags to create flowing, expressive movement that feels like flying. Through a quick, accessible technique, experience how motion, rhythm, and intention can turn weight into freedom and joy.
Intro to Taking Action for Whole Health and Wellbeing – Sunrise Mountain Wellness Center
6:15 p.m. - Get a glimpse of this three-week, peer-supported, action planning workshop for mental health and substance use recovery.
