The Family Stabilization Program (FaSt) is open to Shasta County families with children. They must be receiving CalWORKs benefits and enrolled in the Welfare to Work program.
FaSt helps ensure a basic level of family stability. This is established before or during participation in Welfare to Work. FaSt is discussed with participants at their CalWORKs orientation.
In-depth case management helps clients resolve crises or barriers holding them back. This allows them to focus on Welfare to Work activities. The FaSt program can also help with supportive services.
Clients must show they want to succeed and actively work toward their FaSt plan.
To apply for FaSt, talk to your CalWORKs case worker to get a referral. You may also call the CalWORKs Employment Services main line at (530) 225-5000.
