Dignity Health

Dignity Health provides services that enrich the physical, emotional and spiritual health of seniors, adults with disabilities and other adults in need. It provides resources, including:

  • Meals-On-Wheels, Adult Day Programs, Senior Corps, congregate meals, food bank, transportation and health promotion.
  • Caregiver Support Groups, Power to Seniors, information and referrals.
  • Classes and opportunities to volunteer, find employment and donate.

Support Group Details: Dignity Health offers a free monthly support group for caregivers on the third Wednesday of each month from 3:00PM to 5:00PM. It is an opportunity to connect with others who share similar experiences in a confidential, safe environment. You may bring your loved one with you, as they will have staff available to care for them during the meeting. An RSVP is required by calling (530) 223-6034. The support group is located at 100 Mercy Oaks Drive, in Redding.

The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other types of dementia. The association is accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

The Northern California and Nevada Chapter offers a variety of in-person and online classes where you can educate yourself on many topics.

Passages’ helps caregivers and older adults lead healthier, happier and more rewarding lives. The center provides the critical services and community resources older adults need. Passages’ Caregiver Support program provides consultation, training, support groups, and respite care for family caregivers who provide in-home care to frail, older adults and to adults with brain or neurological impairment.
