The Friendship Line

Friendship Line California is a free crisis intervention hotline and a warmline for non-emergency emotional support calls. For more than 45 years, the Friendship Line has been a vital lifeline for people aged 60 years and older and adults living with disabilities. They allow callers to connect with a caring, compassionate voice ready to listen and provide emotional support.

The Planning and Service Area 2 Area Agency on Aging (PSA2AAA) provides aging and adult services in Lassen, Modoc, Shasta, Siskiyou, and Trinity Counties. It delivers services that meet the needs of older adults and adults with functional impairments. Its mission is to preserve independence, dignity, and the choice to “age-at-home.”

The Disability Action Center

The Disability Action Center (DAC) was founded to meet the specific needs of people living with disabilities in Northern California. They provide independent living programs, services for older adults, and assistive technology. They can provide additional resources such as wheelchairs and walkers for no charge.
