Community Education Committee

The Community Education Committee works to reduce stigma associated with mental illness by sharing important information with the public. The committee also informs the public and the Shasta County Mental Health, Alcohol and Drug Advisory Board about educational opportunities. New members and guests are welcome.

Client Services Committee

The Client Services Committee provides a forum for community organizations to discuss services such as housing, employment and transportation needs for people with a severe and persistent mental illness. New members and guests are welcome.

Mental Health, Alcohol and Drug Advisory Board

The Mental Health, Alcohol and Drug Advisory Board provides oversight and monitoring of the local mental health, alcohol and drug system. It advocates for persons with serious mental illness and advises the governing body (Board of Supervisors) and the mental health director.

Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Stakeholder Workgroup

The public is invited to join this workgroup, which provides guidance on Mental Health Services Act programs. In Shasta County, the Health and Human Services Agency and its many partners have used Mental Health Services Act funding to create programs for people of all ages, including suicide prevention, wellness centers, housing and much more.
