Shasta County Health and Human Services Agency

Mental Health Services Act

Innovation Plan: Roughout Ranch, Authentic Workshops and Horse Encounters

SHASTA COUNTY – Shasta County Health & Human Services Agency is making available for public comment a request for funding for its Mental Health Services Act, Innovation Plan: Roughout Ranch, Authentic Workshops and Horse Encounters. The public has an opportunity to provide input regarding this document through a 30-day public comment period. An electronic copy of this document can be found at www.shastamhsa.com. Hard copies are available upon request by contacting mhsa@shastacounty.gov.

Roughout Ranch serves individuals based on donations and the personal finances of the developers and owners of the ranch. The proposed project would expand services to people in Shasta County who experience emotional distress due to various life events.

Authenticity Workshops and Horse Encounters are all about relationships and developing insights and practices that support new ways of thinking, personal growth and overall wellness. The programs promote powerful skills that connect participants to each other and offer a foundation to most of the other programs. Authenticity Workshop sessions are customized to fit any individual or peer group not just those served by county mental health.

Public comments are to be received no later than 5 p.m. on March 30, 2024.
Comments must be sent to the attention of MHSA Administration, 2640 Breslauer Way Redding, CA 96001; or emailed to mhsa@shastacounty.gov.
