Testing, Treatment, and Preventive Counseling for Tuberculosis FAQ:

1. When can I get a TB Skin Test appointment?

• TB skin tests are placed on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. 

• Please call to make an appointment: (530) 225-5591.

2. How much is the TB Skin Test?

• The TB skin test fee is $17. 

3. When do I  come back  for my TB Skin Test Reaction to be read?

• Office is CLOSED for lunch during 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

• TB skin tests must be read 48 to 72 hours after placement.

• You must return to have your TB Skin Test read or it will need to be repeated at your own expense.

• There will be a fee for providing work/school clearance.

4. What if my TB Skin Test is positive?

• If the test is positive, you may need a chest x-ray (at your own expense). 

• There will be a fee for interpreting the x-ray and for providing work/school clearance.

*Holidays and lunch hours may affect TB placement and reading hours. Office is CLOSED for lunch during 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. **
