Patients’ Rights Advocates

Patients’ Rights Advocates are required in every county in compliance with California Welfare and Institutions laws that each county mental health director appoint Patients’ Rights Advocates to protect and further the Constitutional and statutory rights of mental health consumers. Patients’ Rights Advocates act as a liaison to the California Office of Patients’ Rights.
