ELECTRONIC BENEFIT TRANSFER (EBT) CARD SECURITY EFFORT

SHASTA COUNTY – California launches a new tool to protect EBT cardholders’ accounts and benefits.
 

The new ebtEDGE mobile app and web-enabled cardholder portal gives California EBT cardholders more control over their cards. New security features include PIN changes, the ability to freeze cards when not in use, blocking out-of-state transactions and more.
 

Additionally, cardholders have access to secure log-in through device biometrics. Users can sign into the application using touch ID or facial recognition. They won’t have to enter their user ID and password every time.
